Information about the use of cookies

  • To ensure this website's proper functioning and improve the services provided, we sometimes store small data files on your device, the so-called cookies. This page explains which cookies we use, why, and how you stay in control of them.

1. What are cookies?

  • Cookies are small text files created by communication between this website and the browser. They are stored through your browser on your device (computer, mobile phone, tablet). Thanks to cookies, our site can recognize your device the next time you visit. Some information is also kept in your browser's session storage, which works similarly but is cleared automatically when you close the tab.

2. Your consent — how we ask, and what runs without it

  • We split cookies into three categories: strictly necessary, analytics, and marketing.
  • Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to work (signing in, keeping your cart, remembering your age-gate choice and your cookie preferences). They are exempt from consent and are always active.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you have given your prior consent. Nothing in these categories runs before you choose. When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice and offers "Accept all", "Reject all" (equally prominent), and "Manage preferences" to allow each category individually. Until you accept, analytics and marketing stay switched off.
  • You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, which re-opens the banner. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.

3. Cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary (no consent required)
    • act — access token that keeps you signed in. Auth token managed by our server; lasts for your authenticated session.
    • rft — refresh token used to renew your session securely. Auth token managed by our server.
    • cid — identifies your shopping cart so its contents persist. Managed by our server.
    • adult — remembers your answer to the 18+ age gate so we don't ask again. Lasts about 90 days.
    • lusole_consent — stores your cookie-consent choice itself (which categories you allowed), so we can honor and prove it. Lasts about 180 days.
    • lusoleSession — a per-tab technical identifier kept in your browser's session storage (not a cookie) to help us trace requests for support and reliability. It is cleared automatically when you close the tab or browser.
  • Analytics (only with your consent)
    • _ga — Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager. Distinguishes visitors to measure how the site is used. Lasts about 2 years.
    • _ga_<container> — Google Analytics 4 session/state cookie tied to our measurement property. Lasts about 2 years.
  • Marketing / advertising (only with your consent)
    • This category is reserved for future advertising and remarketing tags (e.g. Google Ads). At present no marketing cookies are active, but we ask for your consent for this category so that, if we add such tags later, they only run if you have allowed them.

4. Analytics and Google Consent Mode

  • Our analytics use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager. We apply Google Consent Mode v2, which is set to denied by default: analytics and advertising storage are blocked until you grant consent in the banner. Only once you allow the relevant category do these tags begin to store or read cookies. If you reject, they stay disabled.

5. How to change or withdraw your consent

  • Open the "Cookie settings" link in the website footer at any time to re-open the banner and update your choice, including selecting "Reject all".
  • You can also manage cookies directly in your browser — delete, block, or limit them to the types you choose. Guidance for common browsers:

6. Third-party cookies

  • Our website may contain links to other websites, e.g. Facebook or YouTube. Cookies set by those sites are not under our control; please read their own cookie policies. The only third-party analytics service we load — and only after your consent — is Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager.
